Dog Earrings - Sterling Silver and Vitreous Enamel Dogs with Side Eye Glance - Dangle Dog Jewelry
These dogs don't completely trust you..or each other.
To make this piece I start with milled wax, then cast that wax pendant into metal and mold it so I can make multiples. The setting then gets a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and fired at 1400 degrees in a kiln, four separate times, to build strength and color saturation . Finally I take an illustration from my sketchbook, turn it into an enamel screen print, and fire that on the top for a durable, waterproof and vibrant finish. So many steps.
They measure 3/4 of an inch tall and hang from solid sterling French ear wires.
