Crossroads Talisman Necklace - Star, Hand and Chevron Long Necklace
Gold, Sterling Silver and Enamel Pendants
This talisman necklace comes with 3 pendants on one chain. There is a solid sterling silver hand charm, an enamel charm with a hand drawn star design and a sterling silver "crossroads" charm gilded in 24k gold. This is done using the centuries old Korean gilding technique called Keum-boo in which tiny flakes of 24k gold are fused to sterling silver by hand, creating a beautiful, deep gold surface.
Each sterling silver piece is cast from hand carved wax, using the lost wax technique. Then, I use vitreous enamel, which is actual glass, kiln-fired at 1500F for a durable, glossy finish.
