Lucky Horse Shoe Reversible Enamel Pendant on 24" Stainless Steel Curb Chain

This adorable horse pendant is bound to bring you good luck!

This piece hangs from a 24 inch stainless steel curb chain that connects with a lobster claw in the front. Just the right amount of heft to wear day and night yet it still feels substantial. I can make the chain any length. It measures 1 inch tall and 5/8 of an inch across.

I carved the sterling silver setting from a block of wax, then cast that wax pendant into metal and molded it so I can make multiples. Both sides of the setting then get a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and then fired at 1400 degrees in a kiln, four separate times, to build strength and color saturation . Finally I take an illustration from my sketchbook, turn it into an enamel screen print, and fire that on the top for a durable, waterproof and vibrant finish. So many steps.
