Is it just me or are pencils the best invention ever?

I carved the sterling silver ring setting from a block of wax, then cast that wax ring into metal and molded it so I can make multiples. This ring setting then gets a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and fired at 1400 in a kiln four separate times to build strength and color saturation . Finally I take an illustration from my sketchbook, turn it into an enamel screen print, and fire that on the top for a durable, waterproof and vibrant finish. So many steps.
