Bunny BFFs Reversible Enamel Necklace - Enamel and Sterling Pendant on Stainless Chain

Two adorable bunny rabbits on a pale blue enamel background, with a sweet message on the reverse side. This piece measures 1 inch tall, 7/8ths of an inch wide and just under 3/16ths of an inch thick.

I carved the sterling silver setting from a block of wax, then cast that wax pendant into metal and molded it so I can make multiples. Both sides of the setting then get a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and fired at 1400 degrees in a kiln, four separate times, to build strength and color saturation . Finally I take an illustration from my sketchbook, turn it into an enamel screen print, and fire that on the top for a durable, waterproof and vibrant finish. So many steps.
