Friends with Cats - Enamel and Sterling Reversible Pendant on 24 Inch Chain

This adorable yet substantial necklace makes a statement : I probably like cats more than I like you.

It measures 1 inch tall, 7/8ths of an inch wide and just under 3/16ths of an inch thick. It has cute orange and green cat faces on a light lemon yellow on one side, and "friends with cats" in a bold graphic font on robin's egg blue on the other side.
It hangs on a 24 inch stainless steel curb chain. Send me a message if you'd prefer a different length chain.

I carved the sterling silver setting from a block of wax, then cast that wax pendant into metal and molded it so I can make multiples. Both sides of the setting then get a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and fired at 1400 degrees in a kiln, four separate times, to build strength and color saturation . Finally I take an illustration from my sketchbook, turn it into an enamel screen print, and fire that on the top for a durable, waterproof and vibrant finish. So many steps.
