Sterling Silver and Vitreous Enamel Zodiac Necklaces in a Cat-like Style

These one inch tall Cat-like Zodiac charms are sure to make you smile.

This pendant comes on an adjustable sterling silver chain that can be clasped anywhere between 16 and 20 inches. Let the extra chain dangle to wear at different lengths on different days or cut off the extra chain with strong scissors.

I carved the sterling silver setting from a block of wax, then cast that wax pendant into metal and molded it so I can make multiples. The setting then gets a layer of vitreous enamel (fine glass) and fired at 1400 degrees in a kiln, four separate times, to build strength and color saturation . Finally I take an illustration from my sketchbook, turn it into an enamel screen print, and fire that on the top for a durable, waterproof and vibrant finish. So many steps.
